2008.02.20 - Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony for Forney Regional Medical Center on February 20, 2008 was a huge success. More than 100 people attended the official ceremony to show their support for this greatly anticipated healthcare facility.

Individuals such as City of Forney Mayor Darrell Grooms, members of the Forney City Council, Forney Economic Development Corporation, Texas State Representative Bettye Brown, and other local dignitaries attended the event.

Mayor Darrell Grooms made a proclamation declaring February 20, 2008, Cirrus Health Day. Also honored was Dr. Christine Walker, with the dedication of “House Call” playground for her 57- year career of providing medical services to the families and community of Forney.

Cirrus Health revealed the virtual tour of the hospital, which according to Senior Vice President, Ira Korman, is an accurate representation of the facility and its many amenities and services. This may be viewed by visiting the virtual tour on the Forney website.
